bet. Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 21, 2026 (policy version 2026-10-20-draft)

This policy explains what bet. ("we", "us") collects when you use the bet. website and app, why, how long we keep it, and the choices you have.

1. The short version

in bet. on our servers, so the app works across your devices and can track your results.

week") built only from users who allow it. You can turn this off at any time.

account history.

2. What we collect and why

Account details. Your email address and a password. We store the email encrypted, plus a one-way code used to find your account when you sign in. We store the password only as a secure one-way hash (argon2), never in readable form. Why: to sign you in, to send password reset links and service emails such as trial reminders.

Age. When you sign up we ask for your date of birth to confirm you are 18 or older and to know whether you are 21 or older. We do not store your date of birth: we keep only that your age was checked and your age group (18 to 20, or 21+). Why: bet. is for adults, and sportsbook links are only for users 21 and older.

Settings. The sportsbooks you use, your preferred book, favorite teams and players, your bet slip, recent searches, your sport filter and display choices. Why: so bet. works the same on every device you sign in on.

Bets you log. When you tell us you placed a bet (from the slip after opening a book, or with "Add a bet"), we store the sport, game, market, side, line, book, odds, stake, time, and later the result, profit and closing price. Bets are logged only when you choose to. Why: to grade your bets and show your record, ROI and closing line value on My Bets, which only you can see.

Activity in bet. While you are signed in we record these events: searches, games and players you view, bets you add to the slip, books you open from bet., bets you log, favorites, and when an upgrade prompt is shown. Each event has a time and may include the sport, market, book or the item you looked at. Why: to run and improve the product (for example recent activity and fixing problems) and, if you allow it, to build aggregated statistics.

Consent choices. Your choices about how we use your data, with the time and the version of this policy you saw. Why: to respect and prove your choices.

Subscription. If you start a trial or subscribe, our payment processor (Stripe) collects your card details. We never see or store your full card number. We store your Stripe customer reference, plan, subscription status and the dates your trial or billing period ends. Why: to give you Pro features and to remind you before a trial converts.

Technical information. Like most websites, our servers and hosting provider receive technical information when your device loads bet., such as your IP address, browser type, the pages and data requested and the time. We use it to run and secure the service, including limiting repeated sign-in attempts. Our application logs record the page or endpoint and the result, not your email or search terms. [Lawyer and operator to confirm the hosting provider (Render), its log retention, and any provider-level logs.]

Daily top edges (Free plan). Free accounts see a fixed set of top edges each day. We store which bets were in your set for that day so it stays the same; these records are deleted after 7 days.

Signed out. Without an account, your settings stay in your browser's local storage on your device and we do not receive them. We do not record activity events for signed-out visitors. A cookie holds the day's set of free top edges for your device (which bets, nothing about you) and expires after 2 days.

3. How we use and share it

on (it is on by default, and you can turn it off in Account), your activity can be counted in statistics that don't identify you, such as how many people searched for a player. We may publish such statistics.

after one hour).

6. Security

Data is stored in a database encrypted at rest, and connections to it are encrypted. Emails are additionally encrypted in the database, passwords are hashed, and only the app's own service account can read personal tables. Sign-in cookies are secure and not readable by scripts. No method is perfectly secure, and we will notify you and regulators of a breach where the law requires.

7. Your rights and choices

Depending on where you live you may have further rights. [Lawyer to add state-specific disclosures, for example California (CCPA/CPRA) categories and rights, and any other applicable state laws.]

8. Age

bet. is for people 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18, and sign-up refuses anyone who is under 18. Sportsbook links are only for users 21 and older.

9. Changes to this policy

We will update this policy and its date before any change to what we collect or how we use it takes effect, and ask for your consent again where the law requires.
